Are you a busy mom trying to make ends meet? Do you work outside the home and feel like you are missing too much of your kids lives? Do you want to just “do something” to help with all the bills? Do you run your own business, but most of the time you feel like it is running you? Are you just plain sick and tired of your job, and want to do something you really enjoy?

My name is Nancy Carlson, and I have been where you are. I had spent almost fifteen years owning and operating an in-home day care. I loved taking care of children but the business side was exhausting. My day entailed long hours with children and parents and then there was always paper work after that. I had employees so that added a totally different headache. I worked ten to eleven hours a day with children, and my family seemed to be an afterthought.

I was able to be home when my older boys got out of school but I was tied to the house. Even with employees I had a hard time taking a few hours off to watch my own kids play soccer. I even missed my oldest son being inducted into the high school honor society because I couldn’t find a sub for those few hours.

A crisis in the family made it necessary to close the day care doors. We walked through those doors and I have never looked back. I didn’t miss owning a business, I didn’t miss the headaches, I didn’t miss any of it.

When I was introduced to the Perfect Mom Business, I wasn’t looking for a job. I was a very content happy full time stay at home mom. I loved it. Sure money was a little tight, but we were making ends meet. Most of all I didn’t want a business to tie me down again. I thought to myself, “This looks like a great opportunity for Dean (my husband)”, but I didn’t really think it was for me.

I am glad to admit I was wrong!
