A Great Compliment to the Business

Welcome to the Perfect Mom Business! If you’re new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed to get my latest tips and thoughts on working from home. Thanks for visiting!

I have just discovered a great compliment to this business or any business for that matter. It is Send Out Cards. Since my desire is to give my customers and clients some ultimate service these cards make my life easier and service better.

How?

Let me tell you the ways…..

With the data base of customer information I can send a real card in the mail using the computer to generate the card. Birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and any occasion that warrants a card deserves Send Out Cards. I can even customize cards to fit my Usana business with pictures and my hand written signature. How cool is that? The system reminds me when a birthday is coming up so I never forget that special day. These cards look like the cards you buy in a card store. They are a fantastic quality. If you would like to see the quality in person just send yourself a card, everyone gets a one free card. The cost of each card once you are in the system is far cheaper than the store bought cards too.

So what are you waiting for? Check out Send Out Cards.

I am the Flag

by Ruth Apperson Rous

I am the flag of the United States of America.

I was born on June 14, 1777, in Philadelphia.
There the Continental Congress adopted my stars and stripes as the national flag.
My thirteen stripes alternating red and white, with a union of thirteen white stars in a field of blue, represented a new constellation, a new nation dedicated to the personal and religious liberty of mankind.
Today fifty stars signal from my union, one for each of the fifty sovereign states in the greatest constitutional republic the world has ever known.
My colors symbolize the patriotic ideals and spiritual qualities of the citizens of my country.
My red stripes proclaim the fearless courage and integrity of American men and boys and the self-sacrifice and devotion of American mothers and daughters.
My white stripes stand for liberty and equality for all.
My blue is the blue of heaven, loyalty, and faith.
I represent these eternal principles: liberty, justice, and humanity.
I embody American freedom: freedom of speech, religion, assembly, the press, and the sanctity of the home.
I typify that indomitable spirit of determination brought to my land by Christopher Columbus and by all my forefathers - the Pilgrims, Puritans, settlers at James town and Plymouth.
I am as old as my nation.
I am a living symbol of my nation’s law: the Constitution of the United States and the Bill of Rights.
I voice Abraham Lincoln’s philosophy: “A government of the people, by the people, for the people.”
I stand guard over my nation’s schools, the seedbed of good citizenship and true patriotism.
I am displayed in every schoolroom throughout my nation; every schoolyard has a flag pole for my display.
Daily thousands upon thousands of boys and girls pledge their allegiance to me and my country.
I have my own law—Public Law 829, “The Flag Code” - which definitely states my correct use and display for all occasions and situations.
I have my special day, Flag Day. June 14 is set aside to honor my birth.
Americans, I am the sacred emblem of your country. I symbolize your birthright, your heritage of liberty purchased with blood and sorrow.
I am your title deed of freedom, which is yours to enjoy and hold in trust for posterity.
If you fail to keep this sacred trust inviolate, if I am nullified and destroyed, you and your children will become slaves to dictators and despots.
Eternal vigilance is your price of freedom.
As you see me silhouetted against the peaceful skies of my country, remind yourself that I am the flag of your country, that I stand for what you are - no more, no less.
Guard me well, lest your freedom perish from the earth.
Dedicate your lives to those principles for which I stand: “One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
I was created in freedom. I made my first appearance in a battle for human liberty.
God grant that I may spend eternity in my “land of the free and the home of the brave” and that I shall ever be known as “Old Glory,” the flag of the United States of America.

This is too Funny

A good lesson for all…

When our lawn mower  broke and wouldn’t run, my wife kept hinting to me that I should get it  fixed. But somehow, I always had something else to take care of first,  the truck, the car, playing golf - always something more important to  me.

Finally, she thought of a clever way to make her point. When  I arrived home one day, I found her seated in the tall grass, busily  snipping away with a tiny pair of sewing scissors. I watched silently  for a short time and then went into the house. I was gone only a minute,  and when I came out again, I handed her a toothbrush.

I said,  ‘When you finish cutting the grass, you might as well sweep the  driveway.’

The doctors say I will walk again, but I will always  have a limp.

Moral of the story: Marriage is a relationship in  which one person is always right, and the other is the  husband.

Ease into Better Habits.

When you got into network marketing did you expect the way to be easy and full of dollar signs? I did. Sure I was told I would have to work at my business. I was told it would take an initial investment.  But those dollars signs that were displayed in front of me made all that other talk seem like “whah, whah, whah, whah…” you know like Charlie Brown’s teacher? I knew there was noise being said but I didn’t hear it.

So now reality hits and you are faced with either quitting your job at home and going back to work in a 9-5 or you stick your heals in the ground and work. That is what I choose to do. I am not a quitter and I don’t want others to be either. The best way to achieve your ideal goals in this business while obtaining that marvelous dollar figure is to do network marketing perfectly all of the time. Perfectly? Now who can do that? I can’t. But with that being said I am on the road to success.  I didn’t let the ‘perfectness’ of it all scare me into no action. I am obtaining my goals little at a time. If your business sense is way off track change things little by little. Start off with something easy like time management. Most Americans are lazy by nature. We sit around and analyze too much of everything.  Just find something that intrigues you and do it.

One trade secret I do is just doing something. Most people will work hard at thier business for the first few months. It is after the newness wears off or when things get hard that we tend to sit back and do nothing. So train your body by fooling your mind, just do one thing a day. Soon you find that doing that one thing a day leads to the next and the next and the next.

Remember it takes about twenty-eight days to make a new habit. Take that first step, don’t be afraid because the task is big, little by little.

Review and Revamp

I just read an article talking about giving your recipes a face lift. Their point was to make a recipe more healthy by substituting or replacing ingredients to make the meal better for you. Why not take this principle to business?

Why not take this principle to network marketing?

Lets look at our business plan and see what can be substituted with like activities to make our profits better. If you are currently putting money into advertising, is it working? Are you getting calls? if not revamp and redo. What about money into free samples? Are you getting new customers? if not revamp and redo. And then what about new associates to work with you? Is your business growing? if not revamp and redo. Now these changes don’t have to be drastic. Just like in a recipe you might be taking out a little oil and replacing it with a different kind, apply that to your business strategy.

What do you think? Do you need to revamp and redo?

Take Time to Read

What? Take time to read? What am I supposed to read?

Being in business for yourself by yourself makes for one very lonely day.

  • Begin each day reading your goals. This will give you definition and produce the desire to do the work that day.
  • Take time during the day to review other network marketers success stories.
  • Cultivate your knowledge of your industry by reading related material. I market health products so I read each day the health and fitness section of newspapers, medical journals, and blogs relating to health
  • Sign up for newsletter produced by your company and network marketing builders

Take a few minutes each day to be a part of the bigger picture. Read into the lives of others and have your life impacted.

Day Twenty-Nine

For the last few days I have been encouraging you to finish this 30 Day Challenge well. With just a few days left, don’t slack off now. Stay focused. If you are looking for new ways to grow your home based business check informational sites on home based businesses. Don’t go for the sites that are all hype trying to sell you something but go to sites where other business owners go for help. I suggest Kim Klaver’s blog and her network marketing social site.  She does an excellent job creating opportunities to connect with others in your line of work. Other sites have great information but wading through their sales pitch  over whelms the reader.

So take time today to make a strategy for how you are going to continue your growth once this cycle is over.
